Hydro Test Pump

Our range of products include Hydro Test Pump such as Hydrostatic Pressure Test Pump, Hydrotest Pump for Boilers and Hydrostatic Pressure Test Pipe Line.

Hydrostatic Pressure Test Pump

Hydrostatic Pressure Test Pump is a common procedure used to performance verifies a fluid pressure vessel, such as, cylinders, boiler or tubes hydrostatic pressure test.

Hydrostatic Pressure Test Pumps are also a common testing procedure to verify pressure vessels do not leak or have manufacturing flaws. Hydrostatic pressure test pumps & unit is important for pressure vessels in the interest of device safety, and durability under operating pressure. Hydro-static pressure testing is a technique to identify leaks within low pressure vessels and devices such as pipes and plumbing as well.

Hydrostatic hydrotest is normally conducted under industry and/or customer requirements or specifications. Typical requirements are as follows:

The pressure vessel to be tested is located within a sealed vessel, the sealed vessel is filled with a incompressible fluid, typically water or oil. The test vessel is then subjected to a known internal pressure for a known duration. The known internal pressure is normally a significant percent greater than the maximum operating pressure of the device (typically 150%). The applied pressure causes the test vessel to expand, instrumentation, which is already in place, are then read to determine the total and permanent expansion that the test chamber (external) undergoes. A physical and visual inspection then follows the hydrostatic pressure test to determine that the device being tested has not been damaged or permanently distorted due to the test pressure.

Pressure vessels may be re-verified by subjecting the vessel device to a proof-pressure test. The proof-pressure test is commonly referred to as a "modified hydrostatic test". The pressure vessel is subjected to a known pressure for a predetermined time. During and following the proof-pressure test, the pressure vessel is inspected for abnormal distortion or failure

Pressure Jet also offers hydrostatic hydrotest pumps with pre-filling cum pre-pressurizing cum pressure building system. For large volume of hydro test combine hydrostatic pressure testing unit is most preferred solution. This hydrostatic pressure testing equipment is compact, efficient & cost effective, available in different combinations of pressure and flow. The unique automatic hydro test controller is a standard feature of this system. Otherwise also for large quantity, automatic hydrotest controller is very useful to improve productivity thru even a Kay man.

Though theoretically water is considered as non compressible fluid, it requires considerable amount of feeding to raise the pressure.

“How much water is to be injected to raise certain pressure?” and “What time will it take to reach up to desire pressure?” are typical questions, asked by majority customers who are inquiring about high pressure hydro test pumps. It depends upon the following

  • Initial pressure from which we start feeding the water

  • Total Volume of the equipment

  • Required pressure for the testing

  • Time available in minutes/ hours.

Customer should furnish the above information and leave it to us for the right selection of hydrotest pumps.

Hydrotest Pump for Boilers

Hydrotest Pump for  Boilers

The equipment should have been hydrostatically tested to a minimum of 1½ times the design pressure, in the factory, and copies of the manufacturer's data report, signed by the authorized inspector witnessing and evidencing the test forwarded to all jurisdictional bodies as well as to the client.

However, the complete system, along with all interconnecting piping, should be hydrostatically tested before start-up to comply with code requirements and to check for leaks that may have occurred during shipping and handling. This test should be completed under the supervision of and witnessed by an authorized inspector who should represent the state or municipality having jurisdiction or the insurance company covering the installation.

At the option of this inspector, the hydrostatic test may be at 1½ times the design pressure of the equipment, or at a pressure slightly less than the setting of the lowest safety valve. The latter test will avoid the necessity of blanking or gagging of safety valves, removing piping and plugging various pipe openings, removing controls and gage glasses, etc

The boiler and process lines must be completely vented in order to fill them with water. The following is a recommended procedure for hydrostatic testing:

  •  Open the steam drum vent valve and gag the safety valves in accordance with safety valve manufacturer's recommendations. In lieu of gagging, the safety valves may be removed and replaced with test plugs or blind flanges.
  •  Open the vents on the interconnecting piping. Close steam outlet valve.
  •  Isolate pressure switches, gauge glasses or control components that are not intended to be subjected to a hydrostatic test.
  •  Fill the system with treated water in accordance with recommendations from the clients water treatment consultant. (Refer to section entitled "Water treatment
  • Considerations". The test water temperature range must be 70°F minimum to 120°F maximum (100°F to 120°F water temperature is preferred). Care should be taken so that all air is vented while the equipment is being filled. Fill the equipment until water overflows the vent, then close the vent.
  •  Apply pressure slowly. The recommended rate of pressure increase is less than 3.4 bar (50 psi) per minute. Proper control must be maintained so that pressure does not exceed the desired setting of the local steam boiler inspecting agency. Do not subject any pressure part to more than 1½ times the design pressure rating of any component.
  •  When the proper test pressure is reached, inspection in accordance with the test objective can begin. Examine the system for any leaks. If no leaks are visible,
  •   Upon completion of the test, release pressure slowly through a small drain valve. Then fully open vents and drains when the pressure drops to 20 psig. Particular

Hydrostatic Pressure Test Pipe Line

Hydrostatic Pressure Test For Cross Country Pipe Line

Crude oil & liquid petroleum products are transported through cross country pipelines, since inflammable, high volume flow is transferred through these pipe lines, hydro static test is essential before it can be used for commercial usage. Hydrostatic testing of cross country pipe line is not only mandatory but it carries a special importance as well.
